Ministries: Music
Ezra praised the LORD, the great God; and all the people
lifted their hands and responded, “Amen! Amen!”
Then they bowed down and worshiped the LORD with their
faces to the ground.
Nehemiah 8:6
Worship is a response. It is one of the ways we respond
to Who God is and what He has done. We worship Him in
response to His holiness and grandeur. In fact, all
of our lives are lived in response to His movement.
It is God who initiates, and we who respond. That is
the divine rhythm, God speaks, we respond. God moves,
we respond; God extends mercy, we respond. God reveals
Himself; God heals; God comforts; God convicts; God
saves; God disciplines; God forgives; God shelters;
God supports; we respond. God acts, we respond. That
is the divine rhythm.
We often respond to God's presence and activity in our lives through music because the person and power of God often demands a response that cannot be articulated by words alone.
It is the goal and purpose of the Music Ministry of
Kiokee Baptist Church to encourage our fellowship to
worship and glorify the Lord through music. We seek
to do this through several different organizations.
