Students

You will grow deeper in your understanding of our amazing God as you teach and develop relationships with the students in your Sunday School class. Student Ministry Sunday School teachers teach in a team environment. You teach in a rotation with a co-teacher and take turns presenting the lesson. You do not teach every week. We are currently using The Gospel Project curriculum in our classes. Our classes focus on 20 minutes of instruction and 20 minutes of discussion.

You will grow spiritually and in your ability to minister to others as you help co-lead a Wednesday night Small Group. As a co-leader, you will build relationships with the students inside and outside of small group. You are given questions to ask and to lead your small group in. We will match you up with an experienced co-leader, so you can learn the ropes of connecting and guiding your small group. Small groups run for 30 minutes and are part of our Wednesday Night experience for students.

Music and video is of high value to this generation. Serving as a Tech Leader is an important part of our Student Ministry. We need someone who is willing to be trained on our simple software to help run the video portion of our Wednesday Night experience. We are also in need of those who are willing to be trained on our sound board as well.

For additional information please contact Jonathan Melchior at Jonathan@Kiokee.org.

Discipleship

Sunday School is a place to a connect to God’s Word and life at Kiokee. As a teacher, you will prepare a lesson each week, develop relationships with members of your class, and help communicate churchwide opportunities.

K-Groups are where we grow deeper in our relationship with Christ. It’s also a place to cultivate great friendships with those in our church. You will facilitate conversation relevant to the current curriculum, which will have specific Scripture and questions for you to engage your group.

A small group leader helps group members grow in their relationship with the Lord. Our small groups range from prayer groups, accountability groups, and topical and Bible study.

As a L.I.F.E. Class teacher, you can be involved in choosing curriculum and Bible studies for L.I.F.E. Class sessions. You can teach by yourself or with another person. Sessions usually range from 6 to 8 weeks.

For additional information please contact Wes Gardner at Wes@Kiokee.org.

Other Churchwide Opportunities

A friendly face to greet people as they fix a cup of coffee on Sunday mornings.

Monthly Visits
Encourage men and women of the CDC with the hope of Jesus. Minister to them by being friendly, gracious, and life-giving.

Write Letters
Usually around holidays, but not limited to them, you can write cards with uplifting messages.

Cultivate Relationships
Once out then a one on one relationship with a man or woman can be established.

Helpful Tasks
We work “behind the scenes” in a confidential way to help families caring for someone who is ill accomplish practical things that need to be done like running errands, grocery shopping, transportation to the doctor’s office, pharmacy pick-up, yard work, or handyman services.

Lead A Team
Each new team is trained and a calendar is set up to help the family from week to week through contact with 2 team members. The ideal size for a team is from 12-16 members and the team size determines how often you would serve.

Encouragement
We aim to be the hands and feet of Jesus, as well as provide friendly visits and spiritual encouragement.

We are looking for people who can help coordinate meals and/or snacks and serve at various ministry events throughout the year. If you are interested in being a part of this team, please contact Beverly Hardaway (rhardaway07@comcast.net) for more information.

This group helps supply crackers and juice for our Communion services.
