Day of Prayer and Fasting

On Sunday, January 27th, we will observe a Day of Prayer and Fasting during which we set aside specific time to go before the Lord.

This day is a special tradition at Kiokee. We encourage you to begin fasting at sundown on Saturday night, and we’ll break the fast together on Sunday evening. It is a time to abstain from something that distracts us from wholeheartedly loving God. Will you join us in surrendering habits, time, or interests to be refreshed and renewed by Him? It is Jesus Christ who saves as well as sustains us, and we want to be people spending their lives to declare His greatness. Also, the Chapel in Building A will be open all day January 27th if you would like to set aside time and space to pray.

We will worship and break the fast with The Lord’s Supper at 5:00pm, and enjoy soup together afterward.
