Women’s Ministry

Encouraging women to grow in their personal relationship with Christ.

The Women’s Ministry at Kiokee exists to declare the greatness of God as He transforms lives by loving and reaching people and making disciples of Jesus.

We seek to do this through Bible studies, fellowships, retreats, and ministry opportunities so that women declare God’s greatness in their homes, in the church, and in the community.

Bible Study

Our purpose is to encourage and equipment women to reflect Christ by providing opportunities for them to study and apply God’s Word to their lives.

2 Timothy 3:16 – “All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction and for training in righteousness that the (woman) of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

Fall Retreat

Our purpose is to provide an environment and opportunities to deepen the bonds of sisters in Christ through fellowship and Bible study.

Proverbs 27:17 – “As iron sharpens iron, so one (wo)man sharpens another”

Save the Date

When: October 4-6

Where: Rock Eagle Conference Center

Sister, how are you? Busy? Tired? Weary? Would a weekend away to rest, relate with other women and renew your soul appeal to your hurried heart? It appeals to ours and we hope to lock arms with as many of our Kiokee sisters who will join us for our Fall Women’s Retreat the weekend of October 4th-6th to do just that. Mark your calendars! We will gather at Rock Eagle with the intention of deepening relationships with each other and the Lord. The cost of the retreat will be $100 and need based scholarships will be available. More information to come!

Fellowship

Our purpose is to encourage and equip women to build fruitful lives for Christ through fellowship.

Romans 15:5 – “May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus.”

We are excited to welcome noted author, blogger and speaker Maggie Combs to our annual kickoff event Sunday, August 11th, from 5:30-7:30pm in the Fellowship Hall.

Maggie will be talking to us about hope in disappointment. The Lord has taught her that the purpose of unmet desires in our lives—desires that are good in and of themselves—is to remind us that God alone satisfies us. She will talk about how it is possible to navigate the waters of heart-rending disappointment and still embrace the life God has given you. Maggie’s talk is full of Gospel-soaked truth that will resonate with every woman at Kiokee.

If you are interested in decorating a table for this event, please let Elizabeth Smith know by emailing her at libba21@yahoo.com.
